Our RI-Lab member, A/Prof Saman Razavi, has been awarded $1 million in the latest round of Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowships. Saman’s research will focus on enhancing water security in an era marked by global change, leveraging the power of big data and advanced computational techniques.
Saman is an Associate Professor at the Global Institute for Water Security, School of Environment and Sustainability, University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
He is also an Honorary Associate Professor at the Institute for Water Futures, Mathematical Science Institute, The Australian National University, Australia, and an editor for the journal Environmental Modelling & Software.
Saman’s work in RI-Lab has been focused on developing a new research avenue in collaboration with Dr. Ehsan Nabavi, exploring the politics of modelling and the ‘responsibility turn’ in modelling communities, as discussed in their piece published in Science in November 2023.
