Heidi’s research interest is Responsible Innovation in digital agriculture, with a particular focus on understanding the readiness of the Australian agricultural research community to practice RI. She is a visiting fellow with the RI-Lab and has recently completed a Master of Science Communication with CPAS.
Based in rural Queensland, Heidi works with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and has twelve years’ experience in research, extension and communications with temperate tree fruit and vegetable industries. She is passionate about using participatory approaches to research in ag technology and pest management for more sustainable horticulture industries.
Heidi holds a PhD in medical research from the University of NSW and a Master of Agricultural Science from the University of Queensland.
