Dr Sayeed Mohammed is a co-founder and policy director of the Arab Youth Climate Movement Qatar and Progressive Vellore.
His research focuses on understanding the prospects of low carbon transition in the rentier states, mitigation and adaptation policies, grassroots education and awareness. He engages with the community at multiple levels to understand the complexities and challenges in making policies that have a lasting and positive impact on both community and the natural environment. Currently, he is leading a wide range of grassroots programs both in Qatar and Vellore (his hometown) to better adapt to climate change impacts by focusing on social innovation.
